The founder, Emiiaka Shabong, is a highly qualified and experienced career counsellor who would help and guide the student on every step and provide a systematic approach in realizing and simplifying a dignified and respected career path. The goal is also to provide a wholesome integrated counselling approach to students so that they are equipped with the necessary skills to face the challenges that this present world demands from them.

We are trained professionally to administer various psychometric testing to students, create students profile and help with overseas admissions. A resident of Shillong, Emiiaka has done her BA Hons Psychology from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi and her Masters in Psychology from Delhi University. She also holds a Certification in Global Career Counselling from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA Extension) and Univariety, India. She has been certified as their Super Counsellor.

She has about 6 years of work experience in the corporate sector in Delhi in the Sales and Marketing Department and has worked in organisations like India Today Group and Mydala.

Emiiaka has experience in giving presentations to clients and is adept in planning projects and executing the work to meet deadlines, facilitating/coaching and training by using interactive discussions and “hands-on “ approaches to help students/clients learn and apply concepts in subjects. She possesses good analytical, negotiating, and interpersonal and communication skills. She has also volunteered in a lot of NGOs which cater to underprivileged students.

After 11 years in Delhi, she decided to return to her hometown, Shillong, and started her journey as an entrepreneur using her knowledge and skills that she has gained from her work experience. She now operates a self-owned business in the hospitality sector.

It was fate that landed her a job as a school counsellor in Assam Rifles Public School, Laitkor, Shillong. Her stint there was a short while but no job had ever given her the satisfaction that she received from working as a school counsellor.

Having a vast experience in different sectors made her realise her passion and calling has been counselling which she would now like to focus on as a lifelong career and that motivated her to take the steps towards becoming one with a course from Univariety.

Emiiaka aims to provide a successful Counselling Consultancy which will benefit students to expand their life and career prospects. She wants to be a one stop solution for students to enhance their skills that would benefit them in their career goals. She is a determined and decisive career counsellor who aspires to guide students and help them in their educational goals. Being in the educational sector as well as a psychologist has made Emiiaka an expert in counselling and helping students to overcome their stress, anxiety and career related issues. She strives to instil confidence within her students to do their best and also encourage them to move towards an impressive career and a bright future.
